China to Launch Priority Package Mail Service

China Post will launch the
priority package mail service starting August 1, an official with the State
Postal Bureau (SPB) announced here Tuesday. Under the service, the provincial capital cities or municipalities in China
will receive package from other cities or municipalities within four to six
days, while common package mail service needs five to seven days. The target customers of the service include various industrial and commercial
enterprises, E-commerce companies, post retail companies and the general
public, according to the official. The price of the service is two times that of common package mail service or
one-third of that of the express mail service (EMS) . Copyright 2001 XINHUA NEWS AGENCY -0-XINHUA NEWS AGENCY, 31st July 2001
