TNT Post UK reshuffles management team

TNT Post UK has reshuffled its management team in a bid to “strengthen” operations. Charles Neilson, who has been with TNT Post UK for 17 years, takes up the new role of group services director.

Nielson “will spearhead the company’s infrastructure planning to meet the demands of its next stage of development”, TNT said.

Before his promotion, Neilson was as group commercial director and began his career with the company within TNT Post Doordrop Media.

The second senior appointment is Nigel Polglass, who has been promoted from managing director of the TNT Post London division, to group commercial director where he will be responsible for all national and regional commercial developments.

Commenting on the appointments, Nick Wells, chief executive, TNT Post UK, said: “We are delighted to promote talent from within the wider business to strengthen the management team as we take TNT Post UK to the next stage of development.

“Charles will develop our infrastructure to meet the high demand for our services in the UK and Nigel has a proven understanding of our customer proposition and the needs of the postal market where we will continue to innovate and provide new services.

“Both have a proven track record of success and will contribute significantly to our growth strategy.”

TNT Post bills itself as “the second largest UK postal company and has the resources to deliver both addressed and unaddressed items”.

The business currently handles more than 200m items a month.
