FTA calls for logistics to be a priority in Brexit talks
The Freight Transport Association’s (FTA) Chief Executive David Wells has called on Theresa May, the UK’s new Prime Minister, to prioritise the logistics industry in Brexit negotiations in order to “ensure goods can move freely between the UK and the rest of the world”. In a letter to sent to the PM, Wells said the UK economy relies on the ability to import and export goods and it is “essential therefore that the UK Government secures arrangements which protect our ability to deliver this”.
As previously reported, Wells last week asked to meet the Prime Minister “at an early opportunity” to discuss how FTA can work with and support the UK Government’s plans.
