UK Royal Mail and DMA bring in QMP

An award called the Quality Standard for Mail Production (QMP) has been instigated by the Royal Mail and the Direct Marketing Association is beginning to attract growing interest, although the numbers so far of those who have been accredited at this juncture are as yet few.

One trade house that has successfully gained accreditation is Glasgow Laminators and Ian Trengrouse direct mail manager says: “We have always been focused on giving a quality service but this award will raise quality levels across the industry.”

QMP includes a knowledge test for customer account managers and production personnel and includes on site visits and verifications and annual survey of end user’s satisfaction with a mailing house performance.
