UPS appoints leader for Global Healthcare Logistics Strategy
UPS has appointed former GlaxoSmithKline executive Chris Cassidy as vice president of global healthcare logistics strategy.
Cassidy has almost two decades of global logistics and business change experience, holding various supply chain operations, strategy and transformation roles at global healthcare company GlaxoSmithKline (GSK). He led GSK’s End-to-End Logistics Partnership for major 3PL LSPs. He also supported corporate go-to-market strategies overseeing GSK’s international air and ocean freight forwarding transportation for the healthcare supply chain and most recently the transformation of the European FTL/LTL road network.
“As UPS transforms our business for the future and invests in our global healthcare-compliant distribution infrastructure, it’s imperative that we have the right innovative leaders to keep our healthcare supply chain strategy nimble and effective,” said Alan Gershenhorn, UPS chief commercial officer.
“Chris’ extensive healthcare-compliant supply chain roles at GSK along with his other experience and thought leadership make him a great fit to help UPS meet the complex demands of our healthcare and life science customers.”
