Half-year revenue of Maersk was 46,451 million Danish crowns, which was 22 per cent of the first half result of 2000. Half-year result before gains on sales and special items was DKK 6,648 million, up 46 percent.

Post Denmark: Parcel Market Stabilizes

The Danish post office’s volume of international parcels fell 0.6 percent in the first half to 15.7 million, from 15.8 million a year earlier, the company said in its half-year report. ‘This indicates that the situation in the parcel market has stabilised again after a period of sustained sharp decreases,’ Post Denmark said.

Post Denmark, Straalfors Form Mail Company

Post Denmark plans to transfer all printing and mailing business services to a new company to be set up jointly with Straalfors AS, Post Denmark said in a statement. A letter of intent has been signed and the new company is planned to be established by mid-August, with an option for Post Denmark to take a minority stake in the shares.”
