Shopify teams up with Sendle

E-commerce platform Shopify  and Australian parcel delivery service Sendle have joined forces to make it easier for Australian small businesses to send parcels.

The integration means Aussie merchants won’t have to leave the Shopify platform to ship their parcels via Sendle. From Shopify, they can print Sendle labels and book free parcel pick up from their front door with the benefits of low flat-rates Australia wide, affordable international rates, free tracking and 100% carbon neutral shipping.

Sendle provides small businesses with cheaper, simpler and greener shipping around Australia and across the world with no strings attached and no more waiting in line to post a parcel, while Shopify provides the online platform and services for more than one million businesses across 175 countries and helps entrepreneurs as they transform an idea into a thriving, fully-scalable business.

Sendle CEO, James Chin Moody, says: “Since our inception in 2014 we’ve been working hard to become Australia’s carrier of choice, and we are very proud to be sitting on the Shopify platform alongside some of the world’s top delivery companies including USPS, UPS, DHL and Canada Post.”

“Affordable and swift parcel delivery is a competitive advantage that Aussie small businesses can’t do without. Sendle’s full integration with Shopify will save time and money so sellers can get on with running their businesses and create great products for their customers.”

Shopify’s Head of Partnerships for APAC, Rhys Furner, says: “Shipping can be one of the more complex parts of a business to set up and manage, and one of the costliest. Merchants need all the help and support they can get, so we welcome our relationship with Sendle because it will make the shipping process much easier for Aussie merchants, especially in these difficult times.”

“Together, Shopify Shipping with Sendle offers a frictionless approach that makes it easier for merchants and helps them to give better and more cost-effective solutions for their customers, which in turn helps improve customer satisfaction and retention.”

Sendle is providing contactless delivery and free parcel pick ups across Australia which is a safe option for Shopify merchants who are self isolating at home or social distancing during the coronavirus pandemic. As an essential service, Sendle has ensured its operations are in line with COVID-19 measures implemented by the federal and state governments.
