Deutsche Post joint venture lands major order in Holland
Selekt Mail now the exclusive dispatch partner of Neckermann Netherlands
Selekt Mail, a joint venture between Deutsche Post and the Dutch company Wegener, has won a major contract put out by Holland´s largest mail order group, the Neckermann Group Netherlands. Starting immediately, Selekt Mail has been named Neckermann´s exclusive partner for the delivery of catalogs and direct mail in Holland. This marks a further consolidation of Deutsche Post´s market position in the Netherlands.
Neckermann decided in favor of Selekt Mail after an extensive test phase that also included other well-known competitors. The key considerations in its decision were quality, reliability, flexibility and customer service. The contract runs for three years and encompasses the collection, sorting and delivery of catalogs and direct mail. The volume of catalog shipments alone is expected to amount to at least 50 million items per year. In the contract also companies as Quelle, Bon`A Parte and Peter Hahn are included.
Deutsche Post World Net operates global, cross-border mail services through its subsidiary Global Mail and also has a growing presence in national mail markets such as the US, Britain, Spain and France.
