DB Schenker appoints Niklas Wilmking as Global Board Member for Contract Logistics

Dr. Niklas Wilmking has been appointed Global Board of Management for Contract Logistics and Supply Chain Management at DB Schenker. He will take office on January 1st 2024, following Hessel Verhage, who leaves DB Schenker for personal reasons.Dr. Levin Holle, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of DB Schenker: “In more than 20 years at DB Schenker, Niklas has impressed in every position and is an exemplary leader. We are proud that he has now been appointed to the Management Board from our own ranks.”Dr. Niklas Wilmking has been working for DB Schenker since 2002 in several management positions, most recently as CEO Asia Pacific. Prior to that he served as Executive Vice President Global Air Freight and in key roles in Germany and the Asia Pacific region such as Managing Director of DB Schenker Vietnam and Vice President Strategic Business Development of DB Schenker Asia Pacific. He holds a PhD in Logistics from Technical University of Berlin. Niklas Wilmking takes over responsibility from Hessel Verhage, who has decided to leave DB Schenker for personal reasons and move back to his family in the United States.
