imail launches marketing tool with mailshots solution

imail has enhanced its desktop to doormat mail delivery solution with the launch of a Mailshots service for short run and tactical direct marketing campaigns. This added functionality complements the existing postcard and letter services available using imail, by enabling companies to create, customise and send full colour, double-sided A5 mailshots direct from a computer to addresses across the UK.

Mailshots is available to companies of all sizes allowing users to avoid the typically high costs associated with print bureau services, marketing agencies and high street printers, for lower volume direct mail campaigns.

It includes no minimum charge and a mailing is priced per item, offering an affordable direct mail solution that can cut costs by more than 20% on traditional methods, when taking into consideration printing, production and postage costs.

Furthermore, an introductory offer starting from 33p per item will run until the end of the year to enable customers to capitalise on additional savings with any pre-Christmas campaigns and scheduled New Year marketing activity.

All mailshots are printed on quality, high-gloss A5 paper for a slick look and finish with users simply uploading their own artwork via an easy-to-use web browser.

Additionally, an Application Process Interface enables the user to submit and process a range of individualised images, so that a marketing message can be specifically tailored to each of the mailshot’s recipients for increased impact.

With the need to print, envelope-stuff and frank mail effectively eliminated, a mailshot via imail is completed in a fraction of the time a traditional mailshot takes. This makes it ideal for last minute campaigns or offers with users able to send their mailings as late as 6pm for nationwide delivery.  Mailshots also affords flexibility through its option of one or two day definite delivery.

UK Mail, part of the UK Mail Group (formerly Business Post), launched imail last year as an alternative to the first class postal service. This unique service allows users to create, proof, print and post letters, postcards and marketing material direct from a PC, MAC or laptop with cost savings of up to 60%, whilst also reducing the carbon footprint of a letter by more than 80%.

Guy Buswell, chief executive of UK Mail Group, said: “The Mailshots service represents the next logical step for imail, with the added choice and functionality offering a direct mail tool for a diverse range of bulk and tactical marketing requirements. This latest technology from imail offers everyone an economical and eye-catching way of communicating messages to customers quickly and effectively.”
