PostNL opens parcel points at GAMMA and KARWEI home improvement centres

Consumers can now have their online purchases from various webshops delivered to GAMMA or KARWEI and combine a trip to the home improvement centre with a parcel pick-up. This is easy because of the long opening hours, good accessibility and plenty of parking space. PostNL is adding these parcel points to its network of 2,600 post offices. The home improvement centres are the collection and drop-off point for items sent with PostNL. Items can also be returned to webshops from the GAMMA and KARWEI parcel points. All parcels weighing up to 10 kg can also be sent anywhere in the Netherlands for a fixed rate of €6.75. The parcel points are integrated into the existing service counters at GAMMA and KARWEI home improvement centres .

“You no longer have to make sure you’re home when your online orders are delivered and can decide yourself when you pick them up from the home improvement centre,” explains Laurens Miedema from Intergamma. “Our long opening hours, easily accessible locations and large car parks mean you can pick up your parcels quickly and easily.”

With this new service, Intergamma and PostNL are meeting the growing need of online consumers to have their orders sent to a collection point instead of to their home address.

The now opened parcel points are the next step in the strategic partnership between PostNL and Intergamma B.V., which operates the GAMMA
and KARWEI formulas, among others.
