India’s Roadrunnr launches Mailbox service

Roadrunnr, the Indian B2B hyperlocal logistics company, has launched a ‘Mailbox’ service, which will enable customers of ecommerce companies to collect their packages at a convenient time or have the package delivered by Roadrunnr. Mohit Kumar, Co-founder & CEO, Roadrunnr, commented: “Missed deliveries is a significant challenge in our industry and we are trying to solve this by the Mailbox service.

“We use a network of existing stores and have tied up with new stores within every 2-3km radius for lockers, to store packages. The Roadrunnr Mailbox service brings down the cost of re-try for last mile delivery to 4% from 20%.”

The Mailbox service is being offered to all e-commerce companies that Roadrunnr works with and is currently available in three cities: Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru.

Roadrunnr is currently operating in 11 cities across India and claims to make more than 35,000 deliveries per day.

The company works with more than 5,000 merchants including restaurants, food aggregators, pharmacies, laundries and florists.

Roadrunnr offers same day deliveries for leading ecommerce companies and uses drivers on bikes, eco-bikes, cyclists and walkers to make deliveries.
