Volkswagen’s new Budd-e concept car features parcel drop box

Volkswagen’s new Budd-e electric drive concept car, unveiled at the CES in Las Vegas this week, incorporates a host of forward-looking features, include a storage compartment beneath the tailgate which could be use parcel deliveries. Access to the storage compartment would be controlled with a digital key.

As previously reported, a number of automotive manufacturers and parcel delivery companies have been working together to trial the feasibility of car boot deliveries.
