International e-commerce the way forward for bpost

International e-commerce the way forward for bpost

bpost is restructuring bpost international under the leadership of Dave Mays, the current CEO of Landmark Global, to better meet the needs of the parcel global e-commerce market. Landmark Global integrates the existing subsidiaries of bpost International and will be located at 12 strategic locations in the USA and Canada, London (UK), Groningen in the Netherlands, Brussels in Belgium, Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou in China, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Sydney in Australia.

This new organization will develop its activities with the leitmotiv “packets first,” under the new brand “Landmark Global, a bpost company”.

bpost will build on the work of the current international teams who have proven that they have the right skills and knowledge of parcels and letters. The new organisation integrates the international departments into a single structure and strengthens their synergies and expertise.

Dave Mays explains: “We are strongly convinced that the road to success leads through cross-border parcels traffic and logistics solutions. However, the international business mail remains very important.  bpost and bpost International have grown out of the post activities and are an important part of the turnover of bpost. We believe that the international activities of bpost will sail on in this new brand and the credibility and experience of Landmark Global will go from strength to strength with the bpost Group.”

Koen Van Gerven, CEO of bpost says: “We can build on the efforts we have made in recent years. We want to improve our approach to international business activities and expand our international activities packages. I am very pleased that Dave Mays wanted this challenge. His experience and entrepreneurship at Landmark will be decisive for the future development of these activities. “
