Amazon reportedly ramping up Barcelona facilities

Amazon is setting up a delivery depot in the centre of Barcelona, as well a major regional distribution centre near the city’s airport, according to local reports. Local media have reported that the company will use the depot on Rosselló Street to arrange same-day and “express” deliveries to customers in the city centre. The reports say that the property in question previously belong to the publishing company Gustavo Gili and it has a large underground warehouse.

The logistics centre near the airport, the local sources add, will serve both Spain and other parts of southern Europe. Amazon already has a Spanish logistics centre in Madrid.
