G20 Summit likely to impact deliveries in Hamburg

Hermes has warned that there are likely to be restrictions on parcel deliveries in Hamburg when the G20 summit takes place in the city on 7-8 July. In addition to the official security controls that will be in place, said Hermes, there could be demonstrations and protests that could hold up deliveries.

Oliver Kuhn, Hermes’ General Area Manager for Hamburg, said that the delivery company will do everything it can to minimize the disruption to its customers, but advised that the summit – and the anti-summit protests – will poise a challenge that will have to handled with flexibility.
