Home-a-loan deal for TNT

TNT Express is in advanced talks on a contract to collect completed loan applications from homes.
The work, for a financial services company, will fix one hour time windows for collection after the applications have been signed.
TNT Sameday is doing the work as part of its Twilight service, a brand that was introduced in April 2005 for high value home deliveries, especially between 6pm and 10pm but also during the day.
TNT Sameday divisional general manager Dave Williamson says that around 100,000 deliveries were made under the Twilight brand in the first eight months and more than twice that number of deliveries will be made in 2006.
Product value will normally be no lower than £150-£200 and usually higher;
Twilight’s main competitors are Business Post’s UK Today, Citylink and Parceline .
Williamson says that TNT Sameday has no intention of entering the mass market for home deliveries.
Twilight is in addition to mobile phones, of which TNT Sameday delivered around 700,000 to homes last year. TNT Sameday has 1,700 vans and its own sorting system.
