TPG, Hermes reportedly plan joint postal service in Germany

The Dutch postal service TNT Post Group NV (TPG) and Hermes are preparing a joint postal service, EP Europost AG & Co KG, in Germany which would be the first serious competition with blanket coverage for Deutsche Post AG, the weekly magazine WirtschaftsWoche reported, citing industry sources. EP Europost will be registered in Hannover, it said.

TPG TO TURN FOREIGNERS INTO POSTMEN

Holland’s biggest employer, Dutch post group TPG, is
launching a scheme for foreigners which combines a cultural assimilation
course with training to be a postman.

The full-time course combines training in the Dutch language,
communication and professional skills and a job at the end of it. It is set to
be closely monitored by other companies.
