United States to chair UPU Postal Operations Council

James P Wade, Vice-President International Business and the United States Postal Service was elected Chairman of the Postal Operations Council (POC) during the 23rd Universal Postal Congress in Bucharest, Romania. Wade is the former Chairman of the Direct Mail Advisory Board (DMAB), a position that Brazil will take over. Kenya has been elected Vice-Chair of the POC. As the Congress host country, Romania has automatically taken over Chairmanship of the UPU Council of Administraton (CA). Algeria, Italy, Pakistan and Trinidad & Tobago have been elected Vice-Chairman of the CA.
