Norbert Dentressangle launches time critical services

The Air and Sea division of Norbert Dentressangle has announced the launch of a range time critical services. In a statement issued today (23 April), the company said that the range offers “tailor-made solutions for urgent and specialist deliveries to companies in a wide range of sectors, including oil and gas, automotive, manufacturing, fashion and life sciences”.

Norbert Dentressangle has recruited Stacy Rouillon to head up the new business unit which will deliver and develop the time critical services.

The new business unit will be based at Norbert Dentressangle’s offices at Heathrow.

The time critical services are available 24/7/365 and shipments are picked up within 60 minutes of booking confirmation. Norbert Dentressangle can also offer real-time tracking and reporting, specially trained staff and a dedicated point of contact, supporting a complete chain of custody for every shipment. The company can arrange Customs clearance at both origin and destination if required.

Stacy Rouillon says: “At some point, almost all supply chains rely on time critical services – whether it be to avoid a costly production line stoppage or in the life sciences sector where it can genuinely be a matter of life or death.

“In line with our ambition to become a top-tier player in global supply chain management, Norbert Dentressangle is continually expanding its range of expertise, services and solutions and the launch of the time critical business unit is just the latest example of this.”

On Monday (20 April), Norbert Dentressangle announced that it is expanding its Bury St Edmunds distribution centre to incorporate a local platform for its Specialist Services operation, which makes non-standard deliveries of high value, fragile, bulky or time sensitive consignments. The company also released its latest financial figures, which showed that consolidated revenues amounted to €1.3 billion in the first quarter of 2015, up 20.7% compared to the same period last year.
