Commenting, Sovereign Transport’s commercial director, Rachael Forshaw, said: “As a business, our primary concern is to operate a fleet that maximises our ‘up-time’. However, it’s become clear in recent years that the industry is facing a recruitment challenge. To attract the best drivers, we need to offer market-leading equipment and infrastructure. Our new fleet offers a well-equipped, comfortable and modern working environment and also feature the most up-to-date telematics, which allow us to track fuel efficiency and monitor driver behaviours.

“We’re determined to empower our workforce and give them the right tools so they can do the best job possible. We’re proud to be in a position that we can provide training for all of our members of staff – from our fork lift truck drivers on the operational side that want to learn more about handling, to middle managers who want to better their understanding of their health and safety responsibilities.”
