DANZAS FORWARDER SHOWS 51-PCT RISE IN SALES

The company Danzas, one of the largest Czech forwarders and part of the international logistics concern Danzas, last year recorded a 51.02-pct increase in sales to Kc2.075bn, according to an audit by Ernst and Young, Jaromir Tatara of Danzas told CTK today.

Danzas pre-tax profits last year grew 115.9 pct from Kc24.91m to Kc53.78m, Tatara said.

The company’s 2000 performance reflects an increasing demand for Danzas’ complex logistics services, according to Tatara.

Danzas emerged as ZAS Ostrava in 1992 and currently covers some 20 pct of the Czech forwarding market, operating some 60 outlets in the country.

Danzas has a share capital of Kc29.45m and employs roughly 1,000 people.
