Estonian Post accedes to Nordic express service network

Eesti Post (Estonian Post) has acceded to Pan Nordic Logistics, an express services network established by the Nordic countries’ postal firms. “The domestic ELS express service provided by Estonian Post has justified itself and has become the market leader operating in conditions of competition. By acceding to the Pan Nordic Logistics network we can provide the same service also in the Baltic and Nordic countries,” Estonian Post board chairman Alo Streimann said. According to plans, delivery of parcels and express mail in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania should be launched already as of April 1.

Eesti Post Handled 47.4 Million Items in 2002

A total of 5.467 million paid ordinary letters and postcards were sent via Eesti Post (Estonian Post) in December 2002, which marks an increase of 2.5 percent over the same month a year ago. The number of letters handled by the company during the whole of 2002 was 47.4 million.
